Description

Daebongsan Mountain is the east branch mountain line of Baegunsan where Baekdudaegan passes, and it forms of the stem of Sobaeksanmaek. Daebongsan Mountain, called the back hill of Hamyang-gun, had been used as an active base of Partisan. Climbing course starts from Wungok-ri of Seoha-myeon, Jungsan Village at Dagok-ri, and Wonsan Village of Byeonggok-myeon. Climbing steep hills with luxuriant bushes and going along the ridgeline withmagnificent reeds field reach to the peak. At the peak consisted of rocks, you can see the ridgeline of Baekdudaegan, passing Deogyusan and following down to Jirisan Mountainat a glance.

Climbing Course

Of all the way to Daebongsan Mountain, it is the most representative way to climb the north ridgeline at Iljumun of Yongchusa to the peak of Daebongsan Mountain. The best way to go down is to go to Geumwonsan Mountain and climb down Yongchugyegok (Valley) through Sumakryung, but the distance to Geumwonsan Mountain is three kilometers and there is another way to climb down passing Geumwonsan Mountain through Yongchugyegok (Valley), but it's also a detour course so if you don't have enough time just select the several downhill courses of left and right side of the ridge.

  3. 3Course 3 (3 and 1/2 hours)
    Wonsan, Byeonggok - Daebongsan (Mt.) (Cheonwangbong Peak) - Wontongjae
