- Its shape is beautiful and magnificent, and it is strong to damages by blight and bad insects, so it has been planted as a Pavilion Tree, and its grace and longevity symbolizes for endless development.

- Feature & Reason of Designation
- It has lived with Korean nations for a long time, and it is often used as the material of poem or legend. In folks, sometimes they forecast a good or poor harvest of the year by this bird's crying. Especially it inhabits in Hamyang, and you can hear it crying every night.

Asian Black Bear

- Inhabitant Area Jirisan of Korea, Northeastern Area of China
- Feature & Reason of Designation
- This animal is unforgettable to our mind with the legend of Dangun mythology. It inhabits in Jirisan, and it is very gentle and favorable. Recently three bears were released in Jirisan.
Flag of the County/Emblem
- The pattern of flag is the emblem of our county, and its theme is clear nature and Seonbi spirit. The blue watermill means the first utilized watermill by Ji Won Park, and it stands for the history and tradition of the village. The green mountain reminding of the shape of Korean traditional hat stands for proud spirit of Seonbi and clear, beautiful view of nature, and the rising sun based on triangle composition expresses the dynamic power of county people who gives effort for the future progress.
Mascot
- The name is Wooridoori, and it is produced in 1999. As a mascot of Hamyang-Gun, it is made by mixture of hard & fresh onion and the feature of future-oriented child. Also it is used variously as the face representing all the county people on every public relation as well as the face of civil service worker who is in charge of the administration of Hamyang-Gun.
The United Brand
- The name is "cheonnyun Jikimi (Millennium Guardian)", and its basic form is to stretch out its hands and hug, and its head is a red sun, symbolizing the strong will of county people seeking for high spirit and development, both blue hands mean the right spirit of preservation of nature and balanced development based on "Seonbi Spirit", and the green body is the trunk of tree meaning the clear nature, which is the best treasure of Hamyang-Gun. It was expressed as natural image through caligraph technique.
