Purpose of the Festival

The festival has been held since the early 2000s by the people to transcend the dark times of the modern history related to Jirisan Mountain which is a spiritual mountain of our nation, to write a new hopeful history and make Hamyang the new home of Jirisan.

Overview

• Period: For 2 days in October
• Venue: Baengmudong Parking Lot in Gangcheon-ri, Macheon-myeon, Hamyang-gun
• Host: Jirisan Cheonwang Festival Committee
• Programs: Sansinjae, Cheonwanggut (ritual ceremony), Jirisan Valley Trail Trekking Competition, Lisan Mountain Concert, Mountain Concert, artistic performances and hands-on events.
