Location

The forest is located in Gwangpyeong-ri, Byeonggok-myeon around Daebongsan Mountain (1228 m) which lies across Seoha-myeon, Baekjeon-myeon, Jigok-myeon and Byeonggok-myeon in Hamyang County.

Natural Environment

Situated in an area with picturesque mountain ranges and valleys that match the clean image of Hamyang County, the forest boasts a breathtaking natural landscape. It has a needle-leaf forest of pine groves and the Japanese larch as well as a broad-leaf forest that is home to Mongolian oak, North Japanese hill cherry, laceshrub, mono maple, the Japanese snowbell and Bumald bladdernut.

The forest has accommodation facilities like Forest Houses and Forest Recreation Hall, a sports field, a children’s forest, a maze park, outdoor stage, biotope observation hall, wild flower garden.
