Hwarimdong Valley stretches over a significant distance of approximately 60 li (traditional Korean unit of distance) covering Geumcheon River (Upper stream of the Namgang River) which originates from Namdeogyusan Mountain (1,508 m), Seosang and Seoha where unique rocks and ponds are created along the streams and finally Nolgwoljeong that is simply a paradise of crystal clear waters flow and lush pine trees. Regarded as the Mecca of Korea's pavilion culture, the entire valley boasts numerous pavilions and unique rock formations on the bedrock. To explore Hwarimdong Valley, visitors from Geochang or cities such as Jinju and Namwon should first come to Anui. From Jeonju or Muju direction, visitors can start exploring the valley by descending from Yuksimnyeong towards Anui.
