In the old days, within Anui-hyeon, there was a place known as “Anui Samdong” or the 'Three Beautiful Spots of Anui“. Among them, Yongchu Valley is referred to as ”Simjindong“ as it is said to have captivated people with the beauty of its deep valley, leading to a complete focus on truth. Upon entering the entrance of Yongchu Valley, you will encounter Simwonjeong which is considered the essence of Simjindong. Built by the descendants of scholar Donam Jeong Ji-yeong in the third year of King Gojong's reign (1806), it is a refined and traditional pavilion. When you climbing up to the pavilion, you can see Cheongsindam which is known to clear your mind and amazing granite rock formations stacked in layers.
