This place is perfect for the people who like clear valley and rich primeval forest and who want to enjoy hours of climbing mountains. The legend said there were "three views of Anui" in old Anui-hyeon. This Yongchugyegok (Valley) is often called "Shimjindong", meaning "the place where people indulged to rapture due to the beauty of deep valleys". When entering Yongchugyegok (Valley), there is Shimwonjeong (Pavilion), the core of Shimjindong. It was built in 1806, and when we mount to the simple, but antique pavilion, we can see the clear water, which cleans even our minds and the group of piled layer of granite at a glance.

When we drive up along the road from here, we can see several plate boards here and there that legends and origins were written. Passing Samwonjeong (Pavilion) and going 1km, there is Yongjajeong (Pavilion), recently built, and 2km more there is Iljumun standing lonely at Jangsusa (Temple) behind the wide parking lot. It's a pity that the trace of Jangsusa, they say that temple was built in Silla, was destroyed in Korean War, the tragedy of fratricidal war, leaving Iljumun only.

When visiting for tracing of temple, we can hear the thunder sound of waterfall, the Yongchu Waterfall. From the deep valley of Yongchugyegok, water gathered to fall down, we almost forget the heat of summer. Like roaring of dragon, the dynamic power of waterfall splashes in all direction to make a beautiful scene, and standing in front of the waterfall, it cools even our minds.

Walking along the Soro-gil, the crystal water flows silently, and the landscape surrounded makes us live there forever. Nameless birds fly away the heat of summer, make me think to dive into the Byeokgyesu.

A 30-minute walk up from the Yongchu Waterfall, there comes Sangsapyeong Village, and we can taste delicious foods of Yongchugyegok (Valley). At the end of the valley there is "Yongchu Natural Relaxation Forest" composed by Hamyang-gun.

Having small but beautiful mountain huts, wide parking lot, water park, and observatory, the "Relaxation Forest" is managed by Hamyang-gun, we can spend thrilling vacation here at pretty low cost.

In this forest, climbing course for Gibaeksan and Hwangseoksan Mountain -1000m or less-, which stem of Namdeogyusan Mountain, family can enjoy climbing together. When tired with hot summer, soaking up the beauty of Yongchugyegok (Valley) will be one of refreshments.
